JOB DETAILS

We require an Assistant Driller for our rapidly expanding company. The ideal candidate needs to be well presented, hard-working, eager to learn and fit and healthy. You will be trained by the lead driller on various drill rigs and heavy plant operation, loading, project preparation, safe systems of work and be part of an ever-growing dynamic team. This exciting opportunity welcomes you to join our team as we expand further into our commercial division.

GENERAL DUTIES

Monitoring fuel levels on all plant and machinery for all projects.
Completion of daily and weekly checklists and adhere to maintenance system of plant and machinery.
Preparation of drill-string components including; Measurement of dimension and preparing tallies, clearing drill cuttings, preparation of hand tools and equipment for next phase project works.
Supervising mud pump repairs and maintenance including safe isolation from pressure and power systems.
To stand by rig at all times while in operation to assist the driller and maintain a high and strict H&S practice on site.
Ad hoc duties required by the driller.
Maintenance & housekeeping of yard and fleet.
Strict adherence to company policy and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Valid safe pass.
Valid manual handling.
Full clean Irish/EU driving licence - With added C & CE category seen as an advantage.
1-2 years construction site/labouring experience essential.
Welding experience an advantage.
Mechanical experience an advantage.

LOCATION, HOURS & SALARY

The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work away from home and extra hours when required to complete projects on time. Ideally, the candidate will live within reasonable commute distance to Ardee, Co. Louth.

Working hours from 7.30am to 16:30pm - may vary depending on each project.

Rate of pay: €12.00 to €15.00 per hour.

This position is an IMMEDIATE start and hourly pay will be negotiable depending on licence category and experience.
